Mental illness has not been something that melds easily with politics. Until now. I wonder at how many humans are still clinging desperately, voraciously, to the forlorn hope that sanity still rules in international relations, if that is even what they want. It doesn’t. Normalisation beyond all reasonable justification is no less insane than persisting in the belief that the truly insane will somehow cure themselves.
